About Us

Welcome to A Free Bird Art Council

Founded in 2020 and officially registered in 2024, A Free Bird Art Council (FBRC) was established by a small group of local artists with a shared vision: to create a supportive community for exchanging artistic ideas, fostering creativity, and providing educational opportunities.

Over the years, FBRC has grown into a thriving not-for-profit organization, now home to 20 independent Calgary artists. Our mission is to empower, uplift, and support artists through exhibitions, workshops, mentorship programs, and collaborative initiatives.

FBRC is dedicated to artistic growth, community support, diversity, and education. We provide resources, mentorship, and platforms for artists to thrive. Open to painters, musicians, sculptors, and performers, we celebrate multicultural creativity and collaboration. Join us in shaping Calgary’s vibrant arts scene.
